2025 – Week 3 – Weekly Progress at Collier Computers
This week, I focused on adding new benchmark tools to the Benchie.io app. My goal is to allow benchmark apps to be added dynamically, with the client automatically populating both the form data and results. Here’s a sneak peek at the app, which is still locked down for no
Benchie.io Updates
One of the key features I’ve worked on is the Computer Details Page. At the top of the page, you’ll find the computer name, followed by detailed computer specs and benchmark results. I’m excited about how this is shaping up and look forward to adding even more functionality.
Vintage Hardware Acquisitions

On the hardware side, I picked up a couple of “new to me” but older video cards from Facebook Marketplace. What makes these particularly special is that they came in their original boxes with documentation and installation disks. I can’t wait to test these out on my inventory systems and, of course, benchmark them with Benchie.io!
Plans for next week
Looking ahead, I plan to run a few more benchmarks on the Gateway 500 SE PC before circling back to the Dell Dimension 4700, which needs Windows XP reinstalled (sigh). Once that’s up and running, I’ll dive into some exciting benchmarking tests.
That’s all for this week! What’s your favorite part about working with retro hardware? Let me know in the comments. Until next time!
